Artist of the Day: Blind Pilot
Blind Pilot is an American indie folk band, and is my most favorite band in the world. That’s a pretty tall order, to be honest, since there are a lot of great artists in this genre. But there’s something about Blind Pilot that makes me fall in love with EVERY song they sing. So far, they have two albums, but that’s all it takes, really, to make me say that this band is no. 1 in my opinion. Well, maybe they share that spot with The National. Haha.
Anyway, I first learned about Blind Pilot through Chuck. Their song, 3 Rounds and a Sound (also my most favorite from them), was played when Sarah and Chuck danced during Ellie’s wedding reception. I also actually wanted to dance to the same song during my own wedding, only it has the word sh*t in it; I’m not really old-fashioned but some of my guests just happen to be, so I chose another song. And boy, do I regret it. Back to Blind Pilot, the amazing band just released an amazing new album last September 2011, and I have just finished dissecting it. And falling in love with it. So here are my most favorite songs off their albums.
