Artist of the Day: The Elected
The Elected are a Los Angeles-based indie rock band. The Elected have released two albums with Sub Pop: Me First in 2004, and Sun, Sun, Sun in 2006. A third album, “Bury Me In My Rings”, was released on 17 May 2011. (Wikipedia)
However, from what I’ve gathered, The Elected is mostly really all Mike Bloom, the lead guitarist. Two of the other members, Blake Sennett and Jason Boesel, are also coincidentally members of Rilo Kiley (of Portions of Foxes fame).
Time is Coming, from the band’s new album Bury Me In My Rings, was featured on How I Met Your Mother season 7 episode 13 during the ending scenes.
